Psych
On Friday in class we watched the first episode of Psych. The detective was Sean and he got everyone to believe he was a pychic when he was just really observent. The crime was that for 18 months the son of a very rich family had been missing. Everyone thought it was a kidnapping. Sean suspected it was the Sister so that she could get all the inheritence when her father died but actually it was the father who killed his son. It turned out the son had just staged the whole thing to get attention from the press and when the dad found out he was furious and accidently killed him. The dad really didn’t have an alibi but the fact that it was his son was kind of the reason they didn’t think it was him. The suspense part was when the police came to take Sean away because he wanted to reveal everything in front of the police. Some clues were that the son’s dog bit the dad when he came in and the scar was still fresh.

6 elements of a mystery

Every mystery has evidence that relates the villlan to the crime.

Every mystery has a detective who tries to solve the mystery.

Every mystery has a victim or victims who is affected by the crime.

Every mystery has a suspect who is usually asked questions.

Every mystery has suspense. The picture I chose was of a police car chase.

Every mystery always has a criminal or villan who commits the crime.

Monk!

So for the past two days in class we have been watching a Monk episode. We have done this to research mystery stories. The dectectives were of course Monk and also the other two detectives and sometimes Natalie. Crime of the episode was the murder of Angline’s uncle Robert Boyd. The bad guy was Angeline even though that wss totally unexpected. In this episode the criminal, Angeline, didn’t have a quoted back up story but even though she didn’t say it, the fact that he was her uncle was her excuse. The person who was affected was of Robert Boyd. It was really unexpected that Angeline was the murder because they kept thinking it was the shopkeepr, but he had a rock hard alibi. Somethings that kept the episode suspensful and interesting were in the end during the chase after Angeline and when Natalie starts freaking out because she thought she was going to die. There were no witness’s except for Angeline who was the murderer. Some evidence they had were the lucky charms she had huung around her Uncle’s house in the wrong way and the vodoo dolls that made people think it was vodoo dolls that killed the bodies. A big clue was that she was a paramedic in the 2 deaths before that so that she could put vodoo dolls in their houses as part of her plan. The twist at the end was that it wasn’t vodoo like everyone thought it was, it was Angeline!
I’m not sure if this is right because I didn’t really know what to do, I was a little confused.
